The Jefferson Theater
Located on the Downtown Mall in the heart of Charlottesville, The Jefferson is the region's oldest theater. Nearly a century old, the proscenium theater has survived remarkably well since it opened in 1911. The Jefferson originally showed silent movies and vaudeville acts, and legends such as Harry Houdini and The Three Stooges performed on its stage. Starr Hill Presents is in the process of restoring this beautiful old structure into the premier nightclub in central Virginia. Look for an opening in 2009.

Outside Lands
Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival is set to take place in San Francisco's historic Golden Gate Park August 22-24 with Radiohead, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Jack Johnson and dozens of other bands and attractions. Mile High Music Festival
The inaugural Mile High Music Festival will be held on the Outer Fields at Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Denver, Colorado July 19 and 20th, with headliners Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Dave Matthews Band and John Mayer. Colorado has never before seen a music festival of this magnitude; hosting five stages (some tented), food from many of Denver's top restaurants, an artist's village, misting tents and more. Mile High Music Festival marks the first outdoor festival held at the Outer Fields of Dick's Sporting Goods Park, which offers immaculate lawns and remarkable vistas of the Denver skyline and Rocky Mountain Front Range, including a panoramic view from Long's Peak to Pikes Peak.
