Nearly a century old, the proscenium theater has survived remarkably well since it opened in 1911. The Jefferson originally showed silent movies and vaudeville acts, and legends such as Harry Houdini and The Three Stooges performed on its stage. Starr Hill Presents is in the process of restoring this beautiful old structure into the premier nightclub in central Virginia. Look for an opening in 2009.
